As warmer weather sets in, most of us are hopeful that the Coronavirus pandemic will soon pass. But Asian Americans young and old see no light at the end of the tunnel.
They are asking themselves: "How will I be treated even after this pandemic ends?" "Will my business survive?" "Will Asians across the globe be permanently stigmatized?" "Will I have to forever live in fear?"
These are very "adult" questions that are being asked by teens as well. Asian American teenagers can't just be teenagers and have fun. They face the same racism and xenophobia in their schools, just as their parents experience it out in the world.
