Anti-Lockdown Riots in Paris, France

France's President Emmanuel Macron extended France's quarantine until May 11. France has been experiencing its lowest numbers of deaths from COVID-19 in three weeks.

After a motorcyclist had been injured by a collision with an unmarked police vehicle, friends of the individual began to claim the accident was an act of violence against ethnic minorities during lockdown.

The violence began in Villenueve-la-Garenne (northern Paris) where rioters threw rocks and fireworks at the police officers, and enforcement utilized tear gas and baton charges as fireworks were exploding.
