Parents and community members are in a heated battle over an image circulating on Facebook. According to a Facebook post, Hilton High School students learned the N-Word as one of the labels used to identify African/Black Americans. The image generated various perspectives including one from a Facebook user who claimed to be a student of Hilton High School.

MISEDUCATION at it’s finest. When school districts continue to refuse AUTHENTIC curricula and knowledge, this is the result. Confused adults cannot properly educate children! 😡😡😡. This is not a debate! This lesson is just straight up WRONG. There is a way to present the topic in the lesson in a meaningful way — but educators and districts have to have the knowledge and right people who know how to do it.
