Former radio hosts Kimberly and Beck have been fired by iHeartMedia.
iHeart released the following statement, “We made the decision to terminate Kimberly and Beck yesterday as soon as we learned of their comments and informed them early this morning. We will not tolerate this kind of behavior, which is antithetical to our core values and beliefs and to our commitment to our community and everyone in it.”
The wannabe shock jocks have a history of making racially charged statements and hugely insensitive comments.
Back in April, Kimberly Ray called Rochester’s mayor, Lovely Warren, “ghetto” after a large gathering during the COVID lockdown. Rumors surfaced that the mayor approved the gathering of over a hundred people. During another on-air radio show, Barry Beck called COVID “The KKK” of viruses.
Unfortunately, it has taken iHeart years to ax the racist duo. Leaving us to wonder if iHeart swift decision was due to the outcries from people outside of the Rochester area and not on the moral of the company?
Therefore, iHeart shouldn’t be praised for finally doing the right thing. In our opinion, it was well past the expiration date for those old racist hillbillies.
iHeart supported and employed KNOWN racists and delivered pure bigotry for years. That’s the facts.
Now, we want reparations in the form of employing more faces of color and donating to economic growth within the black community. This is the only outcome sufficient to right this wrong.
