New Guidelines

Lately, a TV or Kindle is always on at my house streaming the news so we can keep up with everything that's going on. While standing around the kitchen, texting some friends, I heard some updates on the stay-at-home order.

While we could still go out to stores to buy whatever - sometimes we grabbed something extra for dinner or picked up a few snacks when we could - we're going to stop that.

It's suggested now that people to do not go out to stores unless it is absolutely critical. This means that if you are totally out of something that you definitely need (not want), it's okay to go out and get it. But if you're running low on, say, your favorite flavor of Cheetos, forget about it. Stay home.

If you do go out, wear a face mask. It doesn't matter if you're completely healthy. For all you know, you just might be carrying the virus and not know it. Remember, it takes a bit before symptoms start to show. By wearing a face mask, you're telling your community that you care about them and even if you aren't sick, if there's a chance you might be carrying the virus, you don't want them to get sick.

Wash you hands often, disinfect surfaces, wear that face mask, and avoid touching your face.

Most important of all, stay home and stay safe.
