Nurses Face Threats for Going Out in Public

Despite healthcare workers risking their lives at the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic, many are facing threats of violence for going out during quarantine. Nurses are becoming fearful of going out in their uniforms because they are looked at as if they are infected.

Nurses have been judged, harassed and even threatened for being out in public while wearing their uniforms, as if they are spreading the virus. Oklahoma authorities are investigating reports of a nurse being shot while wearing scrubs at a gas station.

One frightening Facebook post from Giacomo Marchella states that nurses are the problem and should be shot in the head for "spreading the virus more than they're treating it."
