Shut it down! Protest scheduled at store where employees allegedly raped teenager

Two corner store employees are behind bars after police allege they raped a teenager. According to 13Wham, Shadad Alghaithy, 20, and James Hampton, 28, are facing several charges. Both have been charged with felony first-degree rape, felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony second-degree criminal possession of cannabis, felony fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and misdemeanor unlawful imprisonment.


Now, Activist Miquel Powell is calling for community members to demand the store be closed. Powell has scheduled a 5 pm protest today at 95 Central Park. Community leaders are encouraged to attend.
