The Hardest Hit

The US now has the most confirmed cases of COVID-19. Out of the 858,000 coronavirus cases around the world, The US has over 185,000. Nearly 4,000 people have died so far.

States and counties are rapidly shutting down all nonessential businesses and enforcing curfews. In my own county, a curfew was just put in place on March 30th. Everyone must be in their homes by 8pm, except for essential personnel.

It is extremely important that Americans slow the spread of the coronavirus. The following are some steps to take to slow the spread:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often

  • Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough

  • Avoid contact with sick people

  • If you are sick, stay in!

  • Don't touch your eyes, nose or mouth

  • Practice Social Distancing

  • Avoid intimate types of greeting - hugs, handshaking, fist pumps

  • Avoid non-essential travel

  • Work from home if possible

  • Avoid discretionary travel

  • Wipe down surfaces often - bleach and water work just fine if you don't have Clorox wipes

These precautions aren't just to protect yourself. They are to protect others from getting infected.
