Our prayers go out to Mayor Lovely Warren and family. According to the City of Rochester, Mayor Lovely Warren's mother, Elrita "Rita" McClary Warren, passed away due to complications from congestive heart failure and a COVID infection she acquired while hospitalized.
The tragic loss comes on the same day Governor Andrew Cuomo visited Rochester, NY encouraging the community to avoid large gatherings. Currently, parts of Rochester fell into the Orange Zone after COVID-19 cases began to spike in various areas throughout the city. Unfortunately, Cuomo's message may fall on deaf ears as the holiday season approaches. We will continue to monitor this situation as new details emerge.
