Three arrested for robbing jewelry stores

MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL INVESTIGATION

Re: Jewelry Store Robberies Rochester, NY (February 4, 2022)


The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with New York State Police, Greece Police Department, Rochester Police Department, Irondequoit Police Department, Webster Police Department, and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a pattern of robberies and larcenies at local jewelry stores.


On 1/15/2022, suspects entered a jewelry store in Marketplace Mall, located in the town of Henrietta, and asked the clerk for a closer look at some jewelry in the display case. The suspects took possession of the jewelry and fled the store without paying. They continued this pattern at several other jewelry stores across Monroe and Ontario Counties. On


1/26/2022, suspects entered a jewelry store on Monroe Ave. in the town of Pittsford. The suspects forcibly stole a necklace valued at $4,500. MCSO deputies developed a suspect and communicated this lead through our C.I.S. investigators, to our partnering law enforcement agencies.


The coordination of all members of this multi-jurisdictional investigation resulted in the arrest of Jaquan Simpson, 20 Rochester. Through continued investigation, two additional suspects were identified.


These suspects were Kashmiere Coats, 20, Rochester, and Zeaquan Walker, 19, Rochester. Jaquan Simpson, 20, Rochester, charged on 1/26/2022:  Robbery 2nd (Class C-Felony)  Grand Larceny 3rd (Class D-Felony)
