On Sept. 12, President Trump arrived to Baltimore, Maryland to attend a Republican retreat, which was initially scheduled to be in West Virginia back in January. Upon his arrival, he was greeted my a rat-themed protest, mocking him after he referred to Baltimore as a "rat and rodent-infested mess" in a Twitter rant a few weeks ago. On President St., there was a large inflatable rat, that clearly resembled 45.
A few weeks ago, President Trump, took to Twitter with controversial remarks about Rep. Elijah Cummings and the city of Baltimore. Trump was clearly offended, like he is about everything else, about Cummings' criticism about the cleanliness and conditions at the Southern Border and decided to react via social media.
Here are a few of Trump's tweets that led to the rat-themed protest:
For as long as we could remember, Trump has always gone on rants on Twitter to state his feelings or opinions about anyone who attempted to rattle his cage. This time when he came to Baltimore, protestors decided to rattle his.
Although Trump still attended the Republican's retreat, Baltimore made sure he knew how they felt about him and the decisions he's made during his term.
