Ukraine reported on April 22nd, that they were officially launching trials testing a drug for COVID-19. They are hoping the trials will confirm that the drug is successful against the Coronavirus.
The president's press service stated, "Ukraine is launching clinical trials of a locally produced drug, which, according to preliminary findings of Ukrainian scientists and manufacturers, can significantly reduce or completely neutralize the risk of death from complications caused by the coronavirus infection."
They are hoping to utilize this drug to help reduce the symptoms of the individuals who already have contracted the virus, and prevent others from contracting the virus at all.
