As states push to reopen, people are starting to leave their homes for maybe the first time in months. I've managed to get out a few times here and there, but not much. I've been spending most of my time in lockdown at home.
Starting late March, I was taking online classes all the way to the first week of May. The work was...less than what I expected. I took online classes in high school, and it was a lot more work than this. It was likely just the unexpected transition. But it left me open to do whatever.
I mean, I got back into the habit of serial reading! I went through The Tommyknockers, If it Bleeds, The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek, and Blaze in a very short time. Okay, yeah I'm mostly reading Stephen King novels. Bite me. But I'm just about to start The Bell Tower by Robert Graysmith. Say what you want about him, I love Graysmith. And yes, I can only visualize him as Jake Gyllenhaal.
Beyond books, I've also been through some fun playthroughs of various videogames. I beat Skyward Sword again. It's been some time since I've played the Wii. I also started over Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time, and The Wind Waker. And especially for Ocarina of Time, those playthroughs take some time. I just ordered The Minish Cap for the GBA.
I've been binging Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, as well. I'm on Season 6 right now. I've rewatched the entirety of the Scream TV series, and American Horror Story. I've watched quite a few horror movies as well.
But what about you? What have you done over this lockdown? Did you use the coronavirus as an excuse to complete some project you've been putting off? Did you learn a new skill? Or were you like me and used the time to catch up on entertainment?
