Women’s history month

Black history has came and gone. Now society has created women’s history month. Women’s month is symbolized by the color purple (which also represents lupus awareness). This month was created to celebrate women for their achievements and accomplishments. Women such as Catherine the Great, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Malala Yousafzai, Marie Curie, Ada Lovelace, Edith Cowan, and Amelia Earhart are a few to name. The founders of the National Women’s History Project was Molly Murphy MacGregor, Mary Ruthsdotter, Maria Curevas, Paula Hammet and Bette Morgan.
